Oli Bennett was a young man killed in the 9/11 world trade centre attack. The charity is set up in his name to provide funding and grants for young people with business ideas, many of who are from an underprivileged background.

The twist is that the artist signs the postcard on the back so the buyer doesn’t know whose artwork they have got until they buy the card and then turn it over. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the charity.

Stage 1: Advanced online raffle and sale, Final day Wednesday 15th June
If you want to be the first in line to buy artworks by, among others, Peter Blake, Sarah Butterfield, Kipper Williams, Anita Klein, Guy Denning, Candice Tripp, Patrick Hughes, Laura Keeble, Wayne Chisnall, Neverwork and more than 100 other artists, then you will need to enter the online raffle. Raffle tickets can now be bought through the justgiving website www.justgiving.com/olipostcards

Cards are now being posted for viewing at www.olipostcards.com

All the artworks are postcard size and are presented anonymously – the artist has only signed the back, which will not be revealed until the artwork is purchased. You might be buying a work by Peter Blake or one by a complete amateur.

The 50 raffle winners will have 24 hours to submit their choices and be able to buy two cards each (for £30 each).

Stage 2: Viewing and Fund-raising evening, Westminster School, Monday 20th June
All the art, both already sold and unsold, will be displayed at our fund-raising evening at WestminsterSchool. As we’ll be selling about 250 artworks, this will still comprise the bulk of art on sale.

On the evening itself there’ll also be a traditional raffle, offering tickets to the English National Ballet, a magnum of champagne from Berry Bros & Rudd, wine books and Time Out subscriptions, as well as prizes made by the charity’s beneficiaries.

The event offers ample opportunity to meet beneficiaries and learn about the work of the charity. The evening ties in with Westminster School’s art day, where parents and friends are invited to view the pupils’ art.

Admission to the Oli Bennett Charitable Trust event is free but places are limited and for security reasons we need to know the names of everyone attending. So, please respond to kieron by email to ConnollyKieron@aol.com if you would like to attend.
