I was interviewed by Juan Manuel Acosta many moons ago… but never find out where it was featured and he seemed to disappear off the planet. If anyone knows anything then please let me know or for now please enjoy our exchange of words below.

Interview

Since you proclaimed yourself as “a man of all seasons”, there is a connection between you and Thomas More (the man who coined the word “utopia”)? Remember? he was “the man for all seasons”! huh
I can function well in most seasons but I do get really annoyed if I’m on a bike and it’s windy. Talking of Utopia I always like the Utopian worlds that are created in science fiction films. Things are never quite as good as they originally seem but I bet the there would be no wind if I was riding a bike. I haven’t been on a bike for a long time.

How proud of you body are you?
I’m as proud as a squirrel who has gathered enough food to survive winter but still knows the true power of the cold.

When you draw on a t-shirt, what materials do you use?
Fabric pens oh yes.

There are two kinds of guys: Those who like Corey Haim and those who prefer Corey Feldman. Which one are you?
Corey Feldman. Aaaah sigh I am thinking of The Goonies right now…and Sloth is a great creation and he has an ear that moves and helps to express his feelings.

Don’t you just hate when you wash your face and then your beard is wet and full of soap?
Yes it is weird but it has to be done.

What do you think of the bathroom drawings that show dicks, asses, extremely deformed women (because the people who made them don’t have any notion of anatomy and perspective, not on purpose) and jokes about whores? (I hope the public bathrooms in England are just like here)
There is lots of rubbish about and some people scribble their name or draw something like they are having a fit. But sometimes you do see some great things.

While I’m writing this interview I’m at the office, listening to Pink Floyd, but I’d rather be at home, naked and looking for free porn on the web. What are you doing now and what you wish you were doing?
I am naked at your house and looking at porn and I wish for rain.

I guess you like watching amateur porn movies on Internet, but other than that, What are your hobbies?
I like buying strange things that I don’t need from charity shops or those shops that seem to sell everything from plastic containers to watches. I have many strange objects including a fine landscape picture with a clock in the sky.

When you draw in a wall what kind of markers do you use?
P-P-P-Posca and sometimes paint. Maybe I should get some free pens now thanks Posca. Oh and you’d also like to give me a special branded pot to put the pens in that is very kind of you.

Your name backwards is: “Nosnevets Nai” If you would make a character inspired in that name, how will it be?
Do not trust this “Nosnevets Nai” it is a strange creature and is always disappearing without saying anything. It will then appear from nowhere smiling and looking shifty.

Imagine someone came to you and say: “hey those drawings are rubbish, I can make better ones”. Do you:

a. Punch him (her) in the face
b. Grab a giant rock on the floor, draw a smile face on it, and hit that person merciless in the head.
c. Start crying
d. Politely say: “Use the force, Luke”
I like the sound of B and maybe I will get a rock ready that can easily fit in my pocket and I will call it ‘The Powerful Pocket Rock Of Justice’.

Do you consider yourself an artist? What the hell is art?
I like to say artist and not illustrator as a lot of my work is self initiated. Yes what the hell is art? that’s a good question and too good for me to answer it correctly.

Your house is filled with little creatures in every corner of the wall or do you save them for your exhibitions?
It is indeed filled with many strange creatures and there are a lot of drawings that have not made it and are waiting.

Last movie you saw on theaters? Was it any good?
Hmmm let me think the cinema hey. I enjoy watching really bad films that are on daytime TV or in the middle the night as they are always good. In a film the other day a ‘cop’ as I will call him ended up helping someone rob a casino beacuse he’d had saved his life in the past. The casino owner was a bad man so the robbery was ok and the stolen money was going to be used to help people. Towards the end of the film we find the robbery is a set up so they decide to walk away and leave the money to avoid getting caught and everything has gone wrong. But don’t worry earlier in the film the cop stared at the casino owner in a ‘I know you’re a bad man’ kind of way. This annoyed the owner but to show his generosity he gave the cop a lucky casino token. After the robbery had failed the cop gambled this token and so was very lucky and ended up winning over £5 million dollars. I really enjoyed this ridiculous ending.

Do you like comic books or do you think there are geeky stuff? Why?
I like them and one day I hope to do a comic style project. Yes that would be enjoyable and I just need to sit down and do it.

Name the 5 biggest influences for your work.
Food, TV, the wind, clouds and maths.

Favorite song of all time (and why).
The Thundercats theme tune is very excellent. Mumm-Ra the Ever Living comes in screaming half way through and then there are lasers and guitars and everything. I recently watched the first series on DVD and it is very good. I think Liono is a bit rubbish as a leader and is always wandering around the forest with snarf just messing about. Meanwhile the other Thundercats are getting into trouble one by one. Then half way through the show he’ll use his magic sword that gives him ‘sight beyond sight’ and realises that some Thundercats need his help. Maybe he should use his magic sword a bit earlier. Also the Top Gun soundtrack is excellent.

Favorite movie of all time (and why).
Team America is brilliant. Watch it and you’ll know why. Sponge Bob Square Pants is also very brilliant.
